New York: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1935. Various. Hardcover. Very Good. 4 volumes, volume 1 is INSCRIBED by the author on FFEP. "Inscribed for Philip D. Lairs with cordial good wishes - Douglas Southall Freeman" Volume 1 is an early printing, volumes 2, 3, and 4 are first editions. 2,3, and 4 include inscriptions from previous owner in pen on on FFEP. All volumes include multiple plates. All volumes are in original red boards with gilt title on cover. Volume one is in the best condition of the four with very minor scuffing and and bumping to edges. Volumes 2-4 are in Good + condition with significant spotting to covers and spine. Volume 4 has moderate damage to front and back covers. Additional photos provided upon request.
