The Scottish Text Society, 1939. First Edition Thus . Hardcover. Good. Hardback. A good copy in a quarter leather binding lettered in gilt on the spine. The spine shows moderate wear. Top edge gilt. Bookplate of The Dictionary of the Older Scottish Tongue library on the front fixed end-paper together with a smallish stamp at the foot of the title page and one other page. Ownership inscription on front free end-paper of William A. Craigie (Scottish lexicographer and third editor of the Oxford English Dictionary). Pp.lxxvii,[i],234. A little pencilled marginal writing. With Notes by the editor and an Appendix of other pieces.
