About This Item

UNDATED..... PRESUMED FIRST EDITION
Signed and inscribed by Cora E.M.Paterson (illustrator).Adapted from Frederick Bowyer's play.
A Rare childrens book.....which previously belonged to the father of the illustrator, with his stamp to top of ffep and rear fixed endpaper. Also loosely laid in is an envelope addressed - probably in the illustrator's hand - to a Miss LE Paterson with a small newspaper cutting review of the book inside.... which has been hand dated.Front board showing a picture of a Dutch man and a windmill. A very good, sharp cornered copy which remains well bound and square. Binding still very bright. Dustwrapper is not price clipped and has overall signs of handling and surface rubbing and minor wear. Slightly chipped at corners and top and bottom of the spine which is also age darkened. Somewhat dusty and marked overall, but still a well preserved example of the scarce dustwrapper. Protected in a removable archival booksleeve.
