Containing a Genealogical Account of All the Peers; Whether By Tenure, summons, or Creation. Volume I only. Published London: W. Owen, 1784. Hardcover (Full Leather). 482 pages. (Vol. 1 of 3) Size: Small Octavo. Containing an account of all the peers, either by tenure, summons, or creation; their descents and collateral branches; their births, marriages, and issue. Also their paternal coats of arms, crests, supporters and mottoes. Paper age toned & moderately foxed throughout. The earliest pages pulled loose from the binding. 38 pages of Armorial plates in the front. The original edition was done in 1766 and is very difficult to obtain, Library of Congress locates just one copy at the Newberry Library in Chicago. This is a later revised and updated edition that came out 14 years later, but is also very rare. Worn leather covers, corners bumped, front cover detached and rear is fragile. Armorial book plate inside. Very rare.
