First Edition. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. First edition, published July 1902, so stated. Burgundy cloth with gilted tiles to the spine and gilted tiles/ 4 color picture to the front. This copy is VG. Exterior gilting / picture still bright. Top page edges gilted. tips and spine ends with modest/minimal wear. Back cover has faded water stain and two spots of rubbing.Inside FEP is missing. Otherwise, unmarked , clear, and firmly bound. 345 pages, some uncut, 4 pp of advertising at the back. Modest burgundy transfer staining to the outside edges from about page 275 to the back, not affecting text. Frontispiece with tissue guard. Exceptional illustrations by some of America's best western theme artists..
