Young and his family. It opens, with excerpts from two brief articles about early, 1728, Spanish occupation of the Ca¤ada de Cochiti area. One article was written by Fray Angelico Chavez for the January/February 1973 issue of New Mexico Magazine and the other is from a 1974 Dept. of Interior Environmental Statement #DES 74-106. The remainder of this paper relates to the acquisition and development of Rancho de la Ca¤ada, Sandoval County, New Mexico, 1926 to 1965.
