A first edition of writer and humorist Max Shulman's explosively funny novel This first edition of celebrated, best-selling author Max Shulman's small town comedy tells the tale of a military missile base being planned within a small Connecticut community. Showcasing the works of Shulman at the height of his literary and comedic powers, 'Rally Round The Flag, Boys!' was later adapted into a film starring Paul Newman. First edition, with dustwrapper. Inscription to the front free end paper, dated 1957. With humour, warmth and wisdom, Shulman's 'happiest book' has a heart of truth amongst his trademark laughs.
