No Place: No Publisher, 1979. Book. Near Fine. Soft cover. 1st Edition. 4to - over 9¾ - 12" tall. Offered is the probable first draft of the film screenplay entitled "The Raggedy Man" written by William D. Wittliff, author of the novel of the same name in 1979. An undated draft script (the scenes are not numbered) circa 1979 or 1980 (the film was released in 1981, directed by Jack Fisk and starring Sissy Spacek, Eric Roberts and Sam Shepard). The screenplay contains 133 machine-copied loose leaf pages (including the title page, one-page "Possible script changes," and one-page quote from James Whitcomb Riley) and measures 8-1/2" by 11" (three-hole-punched). The screenplay is bound in blank, non-descript working covers and bound by three folded clasps. The stamp and hand-written name and address of the former owner appears on the title page; the outer covers are worn and edge-ragged; the interior pages are in excellent condition..
