Collins, 1955. Hardcover. Good. 1955. No Edition Noted. 255 pages. No dust jacket. Black cloth with a black and white illustrated frontis. Moderate tanning to pages with slight dog-eared pages throughout and heavier tanning to text block edges. Both hinges are cracked with exposed netting. Boards have moderate rubbing and light corner bending. Soft crushing to spine ends.
Synopsis
E. W. Hornung (1866-1921) created Raffles the gentleman burglar, hero of The Amateur Cracksman (1899) and Mr. Justice Raffles (1909) and wrote many other adventure stories published in magazines and in book form. He married Arthur Conan Doyle's sister Constance, traveled widely, and played cricket.
