About This Item
Wolf Creek, OR: Nomenus, Inc. and the Nomenus Wolf Creek Sanctuary. Offered is the August-September 2002 issue of "The RadDish" (Vol. 11 Issue 7) published by Nomenus, Inc. and the Nomenus Wolf Creek Sanctuary out of Wolf Creek, Oregon. A left-stapled magazine measuring 8-1/2" by 11" and containing 24 pages including front and rear covers. Nomenus, Inc. was founded in 1984 as a spiritual, non-profit organization open to Radical Faerie-identified gay men. In 1987, Nomenus purchased the Magdalene Farm (a Maoist commune since the mid-1970s) and renamed it The Wolf Creek Sanctuary which spans 80 acres at Wolf Creek in southern Oregon. The Sanctuary, as Nomenus has written, "is a living project, an experiment exploring the nature of Radical Faerie spirituality and community" and hosts gatherings, workshops, rituals and circles throughout the year. With splendid front cover illustration, and containing committee reports and resource information, the contents include: Happenings on the Land by Wick ("Well, being that this is a two-month summary I hope I am able to remember all that has happened"); RadDish Changes by Jaddua ("In short, I am taking over the bulk of the work of the RadDish"); Dissertation of Friendship by Na'mIs'ala; FFV 101: What the Faerie Freedom Village Means to Me by Jokey X Wilson; centerfold photo spread Pangender Hermaphrodite Gathering (with four photos); A Letter About Jim Beau by Angie O'Sperm ("I attended the Community on the Land meeting July 11, 2002 to stand by and support a dear Faerie brother Jim, my closest friend from the list of many banished from our Sanctuary"); Letters From Azrael by Azrael ("Dear Deadly and Wick - Forgive the long wait but I have been in no shape to address these very personal issues until just recently. I am still Very interested in, at the very least, making peace with the two of you. My abhorrent past behavior has been following me around until very recently and will be sending you a detailed letter of apology and perhaps some solutions so that these types of behavior get openly addressed"). Mailing label and two canceled postage stamps to rear cover. . Near Fine. Magazine. 1st Edition. 2002.
