Synopsis of the 1967 2-volume CCR report of the same name. Despite increasing racial integration in the 1960s, the Commission found that racial isolation due to de facto segregation in large cities and in suburbs still prevailed. This copy was sent to Oakland teachers by a coalition of educational and political organizations in response to a racist brochure sent to the teachers in 1967.
