New York: The Viking Press (1967), 1967. First edition. Hardcover. Near Fine/Near Fine. 8vo. [8], 9-416 pp. Grey cloth with black and red lettering on the spine. Price of $6.50 on the front flap of the dust jacket. Ronald Segal was active in the movement against apartheid in South Africa, and traveled all over the world observing the effects of European colonialism on various nations and peoples. This is his treatise on the causes of the unrest and movements for independence and equality which so many nation-states were experiencing in the latter twentieth century. Jacket with very light edge wear and toning.
