Limited Edition. 930 --'Raboliot'-- Written by MAURICE GENEVOIX (the novel is considered his greatest work). Awarded the 1925 Prix Goncourt prize, in the year it was published. Illustrated by JOSEPH HEMARD. Copy #269 from an edition of 400. 'Raboliot' (French for rabbit) is the story of a poacher in France. The novel has (37) charming illustrations, a frontispiece plate, and 8 full-pages in color. Beautifully rebound in full pigskin & horsehair boards, housed in 1/4 horsehair and paper slipcase - it was originally paper bound. THE BOOKBINDER WAS S.J.M. NITRA, his name is stamped on bottom of the front board. Overall in beautiful condition - with a few minor scrapes or dings..
