About This Item

Yale University Press. Very Good. 1956 first edition Yale University Press (New Haven, Connecticut), 6 1/2 x 9 1/2 inches tall blue cloth hardbound in publisher's unclipped dust jacket, xxvi, 385 pp. Light rubbing, soiling and edgewear to covers. Otherwise, a very good copy - clean, bright and unmarked - in a slightly edgeworn dust jacket, nicely preserved in a clear archival sleeve. Note that this is a heavy book, so additional postage will be required for international or priority orders. ~SP17~ Robert Louis Balfour Stevenson (1850-1894) was a Scottish novelist, poet, essayist and travel writer. His most famous works are Treasure Island, Kidnapped, and Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde. Charles Baxter was Stevenson's financial agent and a friend from his days in the Speculative Society (a debating club) at the University of Edinburgh.
