About This Item
Marlborough-Gerson, 1965. First Edition. Trade Paperback. 28 pages. An early catalog by this well-known British artist. The date of the catalog was incorrect and a correction slip is tipped in before the first page. Ronald Brooks Kitaj (1932-2007) was an American artist with Jewish roots who worked for long periods in England. He was influenced by Aby Warburg and coined the term 'School of London' to refer to painters such as Frank Auerbach, Leon Kossoff, Francis Bacon, Lucian Freud, Peter de Francia and himself. First edition (first printing). A near fine copy in wrappers (paperback).
