About This Item
New York: D. Appleton and Company, 1925. Third Printing (stated). . Hardcover. Very Good+/No Jacket. (uncredited frontispiece). Bound in green cloth with titles stamped in black. Third printing, with the publisher's (3) on the final page of the text. (A good example of why Appleton printings cannot be assumed by using the same date method, as both the title page date and the copyright for this book are 1925, indicating at least three printings in the year of publication). With an unsigned frontispiece on coated paper, which closely resembles the work of Appleton artist A. D. Rahn. The cloth shows just a touch of wear at the corners. The binding is just a tiny bit shaken. Hinges solid; binding square. Three different penciled inscriptions adorn the front free endpaper; the volume is otherwise unmarked. A clean, tight copy. Size: 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall
