Quarterbound in publisher's black cloth (spine) and white textured paper (boards), red and gilt lettering to spine, the former set against impressive gilt background. Matte dj features 1865 photo of subject next to one of his famous rifles, Charleston. Plain white endpapers. xviii pp prelim material, 452 numbered pp, plus ten following (incl about the author, about the Press, colophon, balance blank). Many maps, photos, illustrations; notes, bibliography, index. Condition notes: A handsome and wellmade volume in fine shape. This book just feels great the hand, with the right amount of heft and balance. All square, tight, and unmarked, save several pencil notes to front free endpaper. We personally inspect every book we offer.

Furrowed Brow Books was established in 2020. The bookstore's owner, Paul Purman, grew up in an old farmhouse full of books. Paul had been providing online booksales since 2008 through several popular online sales venues. In 2021 Paul was accepted as a member of the Independent Online Booksellers' Association (IOBA), and graduated from the annual Colorado Antiquarian Book Seminar (CABS-Minnesota).
Furrowed Brow Books' goal is to offer an eclectic selection, while providing specialty offerings in Eastern Orthodoxy and Byzantine civilization, theology, Christian mysticism, science fiction/fantasy (Inklings emphasis), and military history.
