Another in a series of classic children's book titles, an addition to the Scribner Illustrated Classics for Children, published by Charles Scribner's Sons. 1933 reprint of the 1923 edition. Preface from the original 1831 edition and a lengthy author's Introduction. Augmented greatly with the illustrations of C. Bosseron Chambers, full-color, including at title page, and with lovely duotone endpapers front and rear and full-cover, full-color pasted-on paper labels to front cover, quite fine. Sturdy, attractive, tightly bound hardcover, clean, if lightly toned interiors, minimal rubbing to extremities. xxxiii [2], 2-422 pp.Member, I.O.B.A., C.B.A., and adherent to the highest ethical standards. Additional postage may be required for oversize or especially heavy volumes, and for sets.
