About This Item
New York: William Morrow and Company. Fine in Near Fine dj. First Edition. Hardcover. 0688087655 . [book is tight and clean, with no discernible wear; jacket is also very nice, with just a tiny wrinkle along the left side of the bottom edge of the front panel (effectively concealed by the new mylar jacket cover)]. "Joe Frank has been called 'the apostle of radio noir.' In this first collection of stories, he takes us on an obsesive, violent, and sexual odyssey in which individual lives become emblematic of a larger spiritual crisis. He also captures on paper the same eerie speculation and humor he delivers in his late-night monologues on National Public Radio." This was Frank's only book; he died in 2018, but his radio programs continue to be aired on many NPR stations. .
