Plates and illustrations in text, some in color. Original printed wrappers; cloth slipcase. A consecutive run of the first eight issues, including a number of important contributions to medicine:

HUTCHISON, Sir Robert (1871-1960). "On suprarenal sarcoma in children with metastases in the skull". Vol. I, pp. 33-38. Description of Hutchinson's tumors. Garrison-Morton-Norman 3868.

MACKENZIE, Sir James (1853-1925). "The extra-systole. A contribution to the functional pathology of the primitive cardiac tissue". Vol. 1, pp. 131-149; 481-90. Garrison-Morton-Norman 847.

OSLER, Sir William (1849-1919). "Chronic infectious endocarditis". Vol. 2, pp. 219-30. "The tender subcutaneous nodes in subacute bacterial endocarditis ("Osler's nodes") were first observed by Osler in 1888, and reported in 1909. This paper is the first definite clinical description of subacute bacterial endocarditis" (Garrison-Morton-Norman 2827).

HORDER, Thomas Jeeves (1871-1955). "Infective endocarditis, with an analysis of 150 cases". Vol. 2, pp. 289-324. "Classic description of subacute bacterial endocarditis" (Garrison-Morton-Norman 2829).
