Vol. I.: xii+524+xvi (pub's.April 1891 Science Catalogue), 106 text figs; fr.pastedown has lib.label of 'The Guardians of the Standardf Wrought Plate in Birmingham, fr. gutter incipiently opening, innocuous small (15 mm) round stamp of the Birmingham Assay Office Libaray to bottom half-title, top edge dusty, otehrwise internally generally clean, tight and unmarked, covers clean but top front joint cracked for c. 14 cms exposing netting and sl. loosening of front board, top 3 cms back joint also open, top sp. slightly chipped across top edge; See also my listing for the 1887 edition which has no Volume number but is bound uniformly with this and has identical pub. catalogue, though is in worse condition.
