ESTC Citation No. T46147.Horace (65-8BC) was a Roman lyric poet writing during Augustus' reign. He wrote plentiful works, including his Odes, Satires, Epistles, Epodes and Ars Poetica. His work strongly influenced contemporaries such as Ovid and Propertius, as well as later writers such as Petrarch, Dante, Ben Jonson, John Dryden, Edward FitzGerald, and W. H. Auden. He is also held as being the first autobiographer in the world.In the original Latin.With additions and notes by Joseph Zeunius, Joseph Matthias Gesner and Gulielmus Baxter.A new edition, in a contemporary leather binding.
