Chicago: The Reilly & Lee Co, circa 1941. Later reprint. Near fine in its original decorated gray cloth covered boards with black text and decorations on the spine and with a printed paper label on the front board which no wear or damage. An octavo of 9 by 6 5/8 with the cloth at the head and heel of the spine slightly crimped inward. In a very good+, unclipped ($1.75 price is lined out) dust jacket with a 1/3 inch chip from the upper rear edge of the spine area, rubbing and wear to the ends of the spine area, and rubbing with minor losses to the upper and lower fore corners of the panels over the tips of the boards. 281 pages of text and illustrated with black and white, line art full pages and numerous black and white vignettes by John R. Neill. With 34 Oz Books listed on the front and rear flaps of the dust jacket, ending with Scalawagons of Oz,which was first printed in 1941. A very bright and clean copy with no prior ownership markings of any kind. (Bienvenue, p.114)
