A psychological warfare casebook by Daugherty, William E.; Morris Janowitz - 1958

Gift from the Operations Research Office, the Johns Hopkins University - kindness of the editors, William E. Daugherty and Morris Janowitz - Aug. 1st 1958." Laid in is a piece of paper with Daugherty's address, and an envelope addressed to him, but never mailed, all in similar handwriting, presumably that of the recipient. Sisson, a former magazine editor (most recently at Cosmopolitan), had joined the US foreign publicity effort during World War I to rouse international sympathy for American objectives. He was appointed the Russian representative of the United States Committee on Public Information, which proved to be a rather challenging post in the wake of the Russian Revolution. This book, gifted to his widow, includes several pages about the Committee on Public Information.
