No dustwrapper, minor wear to spine ends of green boards, but otherwise a good clean tight copy, with gilt titles on spine and front board still bright, of this slim hard-cover book. Deals with the first fifty years of the Railway Convalescent Homes, which were intended for sick and injured railwaymen (and later women). There were ten Homes, the last of which (Dawlish in south Devon) closed in Spring 2020. 100pp, some b&w illustrations.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Good/No Jacket. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
