London: J. M. Dent & Sons Ltd., (1955). First edition, first printing. This is a near fine copy. The dust wrapper has some slight closed tears to the front panel, with some abrasion also present at the spine tips. The rear panel is markedly clean. It has not been price clipped, showing the 10s. 6d. net price. The boards are tight and free from notable wear though with some sparse blemishing. The gilt titling is bright. The internals are clean though the text blocks are foxed at the top edge. This is a near fine copy, scarce in this condition.
