Boston, Massachusetts: F.A. Searle, Printer, 1864. Near-fine. Minor toning, finger-soiling.. Program for a "grand organ concert" featuring Mrs. L.S. Frohock, and "Introducing the New Instrument, the 'Saxophone'". Originally developed in 1840 by Adolphe Sax, the instrument did not catch on in popularity in the States until the 1860s. Composers featured in this program include Mozart, Bach, Donizetti, Wagner, and Battiste, among others. Measures 8" by 5"; verso blank.
