About This Item
New York: Harper & Brothers Publishers, 1958. Book. Good. Hardcover. Later Printing. The DJ is price clipped, with edgewear and some fading. The copyright page is marked B-K probably indicating a November 1958 early printing. On the bottom edge of the front DJ flap is the notation No. 5022A. No indent on the back cover. Foreword by Allan Nevins of Columbia University and subsequently Georgetown who Kennedy gives great credit in his Preface. "The entire Manuscript was greatly improved by the criticisms Professor Nevis offered." The word aroung Georgetown and DC at the time of publication was that Nevins had indeed written most of the book! Hallaway House Bookshop Wellesley label in the bottom corner of the front endpaper, indicating that this was not a book club edition. Blue boards with a black spine. Very collectible.
