About This Item
Hardcover with dust jacket, published by Dutton, 1962. This is a third printing copy, published 1962 - a Book Club edition. Edited by Quennell from more than 700 pages, the notorious memoir focusing on Hickey's adventures and misdeeds. 452 pages with Index, 6" X 9-1/4". The dust jacket has been protected with a clear, removable cover. Jacket has some edge and rubbing wear, and a small closed tear of about 1/2" in the middle of the spine panel. There is a random jumble of letters and numbers on the front flap - probably a former price - see photos. Nicely printed considering it is a Book Club edition. Sturdy brick red colored cloth covered boards, corners are not bumped or worn, little wear to the cover boards. Squiggle mark in pencil on the top corner of the first flyleaf - probably a former price crossed out. No further writing besides that though. Age tanning to the text pages, some dots of foxing to the fore edge. Binding is tight and square. Not a library discard copy. Attached photos are of the copy we have in our inventory.
