1. A collection of fabric dyed with fiber reactive dyes and organized with their technical details. By accurately measuring dyes, water, and time, I made this set of swatches that later let me dye any amount of fabric with a high degree of accuracy in matching my original swatches. Study done in 1984 as I was working on a BFA in textiles. There are 15 sheets of samples, with approximately 350 separate swatches of cotton, silk, and rayon. Each is about the size of a hand palm.
2. Laboratory glass pipette measures 10 milliliters; marked "Fisher Brand 10 ml in 1//10 T.D. at 10 degree C plus or minus 0.06ml #13671109 M". You need a little rubber suction bulb (which is not included because I lost it) to control accurate measurement. Size: 3/8 inches diameter; 14 inches long. Condition: very good; markings are clear and not worn.
3. Plastic measuring cylinder measures 100 milliliters, with a pouring spout and pentagon base. Measurement marks are embossed. Marked on bottom: "Made in Italy." Other marks: 100:1 in 20 degrees C ml" Size: approx. 1-3/16 inches diameter; 9-3/4 inches high. Condition: very good.
4. Lot includes folder of over 100 pages of notes and reference materials with information on the craft of hand dyeing.
5. Synthetic Dyes for Natural Fibers (Hardcover) by Linda Knutson. Madrona Publishers: Seattle, (1st edition) April 1, 1982. ISBN 091484265X. 162 pages.
Used, with notes and pencil underlining throughout. Dust jacket moderately worn.
