Contemporary full calf, spine gilt ruled with raised bands and gilt lettered label (spine rubbed and worn at edges and boards scratched and pitted with long abrasion on lower board - in protective glassine cover). Pp. iv + 303 (lacks front and rear prelims and endpapers; inner hinges cracked and some pages toned and chipped at edges; pp. 143-144 misnumbered; previous owner's 1863 inscription on front paste-down).
