Cambridge, MA: Harvard University Press, 1937. Second Edition. Hardcover. Good/Fair. Harvard University Press, 1937. Volume I and II. Dust Jackets Present in Mylar. Some tears, discoloration and stains on original DJs. Dust Jackets are not price clipped. Ex-library copies with usual markings. Red cloth boards with gilt lettering on spines. Boards show minimal wear with very light rubbing to corners. Minimal wear to spine or textblock. Back cover pastedowns on both volumes torn and faded. Writing and library stamps on front flyleafs, the remainder of the pages are crisp, unmarked and clean with expected age-tanning. Binding fairly tight, with the exception of some separation at page 226-7 in Vol. II which causes volume to fall open to that page. Beautiful, crisp typographic illustrations throughout both volumes, with inclusions of reduced reproductions of broadside specimens, and beautiful gatefolds of comparative printing types.
