About This Item
OCLC Number 3051007; 2000 copies printed November, 1936, on Hermes extra strong book paper. xiv, 133, [1] pages : frontispiece, illustrations, diagrams ; 24 cm
by William Bond Wheelwright ; with foreword by Otto G. Kress.
A fine copy with numerous illustrations and explanations of the papermaking process. A good book for the beginning collector to learn about how paper is made for printing. Crisp and clean throughout with very small exterior bumping on corners of the boards. No cove present or was issued with this book (probably glassine wrapped for shipment). Also a signed letter from David T. Pottinger, Associate Director of the Harvard University Press, Cambridge Massachusetts, dated August 1st, 1939 thanking 'Bill' for his lecture. Folds to letter with nice logo and chip with loss of paper top left corner, not affecting text.
