Prev owner's name by the upper edge of the half title page; ownership stamp with date on the inside rear cover. Paperback with smalls ticker taped to the spine by the spine foot. The book was published to commemorate the Exhibition of Chinese Antiquities at the Royal Academy. The excavation of the Man Ch'eng tombs in 1968 led to the discovery of the bodies of Lie Sheng, a prince of the Han Dynasty (206 BC - 220 AD), and his consort, Princess Tou Wan. The lives of the Jade Princes is used as the focus for this account of China at the age of the first of the great ruling dynasties. . First Cardinal Edition. Soft Cover. Very Good. 4to.
