Small hardcover has flexible brown leather-covered boards with gold spine and cover lettering and decorations. Endpapers have repeating green Art-Nouveau-style tile pattern. Top page edges are gilt. Binding tight. Hinges NOT cracked. Covers worn at top edge and spine ends; leather at very edge of head of spine is missing. Covers have light surface wear. Spine lightly sunned, with small stains. Imprinted bookplate on front endpaper. Name in ink on second blank page, Pages lightly and uniformly tanned but still supple. Pages clean and unmarked. 298 pages. No dust jacket. With a preface by Mrs. Stevenson. A volume in The Biographical Edition of the Works of Robert Louis Stevenson. Carefully packed, shipped in a box.
