About This Item

New York, New York, U.S.A.: Summit Books, 1983. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Near Fine/Very Good+. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. The author, a Pulitzer Prize-winning investigative journalist, offers a portrait of the relationship between president and adviser. Stated first edition. First printing with correct full number line sequence. The book itself is in beautiful condition and is very clean with no writing, underlining, or bookplates. There is a remainder mark on the lower textblock edge as well as a light smudge on the same. Not an ex-library copy. Spine is tight and crisp. Corners are square and only slightly bumped. The gray and black boards are clean, flat and true with virtually no wear and just a hint of bumping to the lower spine. Dust jacket is not price-clipped ($19.95) but does have some heavy scuffing and some general edge wear as well as a 1/2" tear along the spine on the back cover as if from a fingernail. The jacket flaps are also very slightly browned at the upper edges. This collectible, near fine/very good+, first edition/first printing copy is protected with an archival mylar dust jacket cover. Satisfaction guaranteed!
