About This Item

Williamsburg, Virginia: Printing Office of Colonial Williamsburg, 1971. 16 pages. A facsimile reprint hand set in Caslon type and printed by the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation. It was the third in a series of reprints published by the Colonial Williamsburg Printing Office. A Pretty Story was written by Francis Hopkinson (designer of the U. S. Flag and signer of the Declaration of Independence) as political satire presenting colonial grievances against England prior to the Revolution. This printing reproduces the 1774 edition published by John Pinkney in Williamsburg. Except for 4 faint lines of stain in one corner of the front cover, the book is in almost as-new condition.. Reprint. Paperback. Very Good. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall. Book.
