Hardcover. thick 12mo, 19.5cm, [xviii],414,lv,p., wood engraved frontis portrait & 10 wood engraved portraits, appendix, original black and gilt decorated green cloth, internal library stamps, top and bottom spine edges frayed else very good to fine (gar). ~ An Anglo Irish convert to Catholicism. A prolific writer and an outspoken Irish patriot, she used the profits from her many publications to feed the poor, particularly during the Famine.
