Introduction by author, acknowledgements, bibliography and index. Photographic end pages, showing fossilised ferns. The text is illustrated with colour photographs, black and white illustrations and photographs. Blue coloured boards with gilt coloured embossed illustration and titles to the front panel with gilt coloured titles to the back strip. Colour illustrated dustwrapper with black and red coloured titles to the front panel and back strip. Black and white photograph of author to the rear fold over panel. Title says it all. Rubbing of the book corners and back strip corners with bumping to the top book corners. Very light age toning of the text block edges and pages. Creasing of the top dustwrapper edge with rubbing of the panels and there is a little sunning of the back strip. Size: Folio ( 12"- 15" tall ). [5], 6 - 191, [1] pages,.
