Per the jacket flap, characters in the story are exposed to danger, when "Into this brooding atmosphere of fear, suspicion and mounting danger comes sudden death." --- In full blue cloth-covered boards with gilt-stamped spine titling. Volume wrapped in jacket with color image of an apparent assault in old town Bern to front panel. --- With some foxing to textblock edges, and with acidic stains to endpapers, else a clean, unmarked, tightly-bound copy. Price-clipped dust jacket is chipped at spine ends and with some tape-repaired tears; wrapped in old-style clear protector.; Small Octavo - 7-1/2 to 8 in. tall; 256 pages .
