Contemporary calf, blind rules and fillets to boards, raised bands, (later?) lettering pieces and later calf name labels (of Edmund Burke and F.A. Sondley) to spines, blind tooling to board edges. Rubbing and scuffing to boards, front boards of both volumes detached, light wear to extremities, which are reinforced/mended with archival tape in places, including joints, corners bumped, hinges cracked, later library bookplate and bookseller ticket to front pastedowns, later ink ownership stamp (of Edmund Burke) to front free endpapers. Moderate toning to interiors, light browning in a few places, occasional light foxing, small blind-embossed and ink library stamps to title pages and 1 leaf in each volume, legibility not affected, (mostly brief) annotations in an early hand in several places in each volume, with an additional section (on "Servers") added in manuscript to pp. 509-510 of Volume 2. $500. * First edition.
