Burnt orange boards with gold spine lettering and gold decoration on front. Owner's name stamp (upside down) on front endpaper. No other marks or stamps to this tight bright book with a faultless interior. Illustrated with black and white drawings. The author has had many years' experience as agent of a large estate, and is now (1950) Principal of Chadacre Agricultural Institute. The book deals iwtth the breeding, rearing, feeding and diseases of stock from the point of view of an active farmer. It is in six main sections -- on Dairy Cattle, Beef Cattle, Sheep, Pigs, Poultry and Farm Horses, and covers every aspect of stock management. Faremers and students alike will find this book of real practical value. Contetns in Five Chapters: The Hoof, The Bones of the Leg and Foot, Joints and Ligamenets, Tendons and Other Elastic Tissues, and Common Diseases of and Injuries to the Foot and Leg with Their Treatment. Laid in is a 24 page phamplet Horseshoes of Interest To Veterinarians dated April 1946 by Dr. R.A. Asmus and published in Plant City, Florida..
