Alfred A. Knopf, New York., 1979. First Edition, 4th Printing.. Hardcover.. As New/Near Fine. 9 1/2 x 6 1/2 x 1 7/8. NON SMOKING STORE. My listing INCLUDES PHOTO OF ACTUAL BOOK for sale. NEVER OPENED. Book AS NEW / Dust jacket Near Fine. Sewn binding. Boards are blue, spine and 1/3 boards are navy cloth, gilt lettering, front board has D-H embossed in gold. Dust jacket is white with black lettering, nine black/white photos on back cover and one on back flap. Dust jacket is NOT PRICE CLIPPED, is clean and flat, has tiny bit of age darkening in places, a few small creases at top of back flap and at bottom of DJ spine, one tiny chip at top of front flap, and a 1/8 inch x 1/8 inch bit of paper missing on top of DJ spine with a 3/16 inch tear, also small thin black line at bottom of DJ spine (not a remainder mark). Boards and spine are clean, flat, straight, no creases, corners straight, only tiny bit of dust on top and bottom of boards. Inside of book is tight, clean, bright, white, crisp, unread, unopened. Rag edge pages. Within the kingdom of the media: How Luce’s Time, Paley’s CBS, the Grahams’ Washington Post and the Chandlers’ Los Angeles Times became rich and powerful and changed forever the shape of American politics and society. My books are from a large private collection, very well taken care of and rarely handled. All descriptions and photos are of the actual books I'm selling. I'm happy to answer any questions regarding my books, just ask. IMPORTANT RE POSTAGE: I'm in Canada so books to the USA/Other Countries are International shipments and may be delayed by CUSTOMS and/or HOMELAND SECURITY. I'm using the Biblio standard postage matrix, which gives average postage fees, therefore sometimes for an OVERSIZE or LARGE heavy book or expensive book, the postage may be too low and may require extra charges. If I know this in advance, I will notify the buyer before the order is processed.

This is not a huge book warehouse, it is a small one-owner store run by a true book lover. POSSIBLE DELAYS: I'm elderly and disabled and while this usually does not cause a delay in order processing, it sometimes may cause a small delay for me to get to the post office.
