About This Item
London: Hamish Hamilton, 1960. First UK edition, first printing. Published by Hamish Hamilton in London, 1960. This is a near fine copy. The dust wrapper, plainly designed has some slight toning to the lighter sections which extends to the spine and rear panel. It has not been price clipped and shows the original 15s price. The boards are tight at the hinges. The text blocks are immaculate other than some slight spotting on the top edge. The original Foyles vendor sticker is present on the front pastedown and the further pages are free from inscriptions. Loosely inserted is an article from The Listener, dated August 4th 1960, titled 'The Possessed. A Play by Albert Camus', reviewed by Colin Wilson. Overall, this is a near fine copy of a fine title. A play in three acts.
