About This Item

Large octavo 21.5x15 cm., wrappers, 14 pp. Meyerhold began using elements of the cinema in his performances, in the "cinefication" of the theater which he had been considering for some time. Portions of films were projected on stage during the performance to enhance the multidimensionality that became possible with cinematographic techniques, including photomontage. The present work consists of the program notes for this production.
