Boston, J.R. Osgood and company. Used - Very Good. 1884. Cloth, short octavo, 376 pp. 1st US edition. Boards are rubbed with some stains and bumping to corners. The spine is faded, with title stamp rubbed and light fraying to head and tail. Text block is browning with a couple instances of insect markings. Binding is sound, but slightly loose. Overall, a Good to Very Good copy for its age and use. (Subject: Modern First.)
