About This Item
London: B.T. Batsford Limited, 1948. Second Edition. Grey Cloth. Very Good/Very Good Minus. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Beaton, Cecil. 135pp. First published in this present revised form in 1948. Originally published (1938) under the title, 'Cecil Beaton's New York'. The text supported by super photographic reproductions. A very good, tight clean copy in a very good minus wrapper. Original publisher's grey cloth boards - red embossed to the spine. The foreedges foxed and the extreme margins of some pages. Light foxing to the endpapers. The wrapper, which has not been price-clipped is almost entirely complete but for some tiny chips to the head and tail of the spine and to several corners. There is a 3.5cm repaired tear to the head of the front panel. Some toning to the spine of the wrapper and three or four small rub marks to the spine. A couple of very short tears to the head of the flaps of the wrapper - now expertly repaired. A very good, tight copy of this 1948 edition in a very good minus wrapper.
