Photographic endpapers, showing the Welsh coast at Laugharne. Black-and-white photographic frontispiece of Dylan Thomas. The text is illustrated, profusely, with black-and-white and the occasional coloured photograph of Dylan Thomas, his family and the environs around Laugharne and Dylan Thomas' American tours. Green coloured cloth covered boards with gilt coloured illustration on the front panel and gilt coloured titles to the front panel and spine. Photographic dustwrapper ( wraparound ) showing the tidal flats of Laugharne, with a black-and-white photographic portrait of Dylan Thomas to the top right-hand corner of the front panel. White coloured titles to the front panel and black coloured titles to the back strip. Black and white photograph of photographer to the rear fold over panel. Some of the most enduring images of the Welsh poet Dylan Thomas were taken by the photographer Rollie McKenna. This is a book that celebrates the last years of the poet's life in and around his home town of Laugharne, New York City and the photographer's own home of Millbrook, New York. A little bumping to the head and to the heel of the spine and to the top book corners. Corners of the book are also slightly rubbed and there is a faint dust marks to the paper edge. The dustwrapper is rubbed and slightly faded. There is rubbing and chipping to the dustwrapper corners and to the head and to the heel of the spine.
