London: Collins. Very Good+ in Very Good- dust jacket. 1956. First Edition. Hardcover. [24] p. 28 cm. First edition stated on rear copyright page. Jacket has 60-100 code on front flap. Sound and square binding in illustrated upper board and blue lower board with Pookie in the center. Spine ends and corner tips show some wear. Edges have a few tiny knocks and some light rubbing. There is a faint pencilled price code on the front pastedown endpaper. Otherwise bright and fresh, with the inside pages clean, unmarked and bright. The dustwrapper has creases and a 6" closed tear on the back panel, which has been repaired with cello tape. It has other rub wear and some tiny edge tears, some of which have also been tape repaired. Lightly soiled overall. The sixth title in the beloved Pookie series. This one tells how Pookie, the rabbit with wings, takes his woodland friends to the seaside for a holiday. .
