New York: Simon and Schuster, 1960. First Edition. Paperback. Good. First edition, first printing. Signed by Walt Kelly in blue pencil on front free endpaper, warmly inscribed with an original cartoon to former owner, late North Carolina journalist and author Roy Wilder (a good friend of Up in the Old Hotel author Joseph Mitchell) who specialized in stories about southern culture. Bound in publisher's wraps. Good or better condition. Bookplate of former owner and wife on verso of front cover. Some foxing to cover, some notable wrinkling to pages and curvature to book , spine a bit faded, otherwise in nice shape. This collection of cartoons spoofed the 1960 presidential election.
